SACRAMENTAL † EVANGELICAL † CHARISMATIC
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is at the center of who we are.

OUR CORE VALUES
The Bible is Holy Scripture and is the inspired Word of God.
We seek to greet the world with moral purpose. Our lifestyles are shaped by our confession of faith. At St. Barnabas we believe that our purpose and behavior are an outgrowth of what we believe. We believe that knowing Jesus Christ matters; that discipleship means something; and that being an integral part of the church can really make a difference in our lives individually and corporately. We believe that in the person of the Holy Spirit God resides among us and gives each of us spiritual gifts that can be used for building the body of Christ. We believe that when we honestly confess who we are in our prayers and ask for God's guidance that God will lead us in directions that are in -accordance with His will for our lives. At St. Barnabas we seek God's will for us. We are a prayer book people with prayer at the center of our lives.

OUR MISSION
"And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship,
to the breaking of bread and the prayers."
ACTS 2:42 (RSV).
St. Barnabas is a Christian congregation which seeks to live out our visions of what it means to be Christian in our time. With emphases on supporting one another as we sojourn together in our Christian walk and on implementing Jesus' directive in the Great Commission we seek to be 21-st century disciples. Through our worship of Jesus Christ we move beyond self-interests and become, as Bonhoeffer described Jesus, "persons for others." Thus, our purpose is both local and global. Locally we seek to be a faith community who worships God in the sacraments, builds community, grows spiritually, and shares personal resources. Globally, we are involved in foreign missions through Barnabas Ministries. We believe that Christian faith includes both nurturing each other within the community of faith and reaching beyond ourselves in the name of Christ.
